IGT Welcomes a New Era with Adam Chibib as CFO
In a strategic move to elevate its financial and operational landscape, International Game Technology (IGT) has announced the appointment of Adam Chibib as its new Chief Financial Officer. This change will take effect on November 1, 2026, pending the usual regulatory approvals. Adam succeeds Fabio Celadon, who will transition to an advisory role to ensure a smooth handover until the end of December 2026.
Adam Chibib’s Impressive Background
Adam Chibib brings over three decades of extensive experience in financial and operational management, holding key positions across public companies, private equity-backed firms, and fast-growing technology companies. His successful track record includes leading six companies to successful exits, showcasing his ability to drive growth and create value.
Prior to this role, Chibib served as CFO at Raptor Technologies, which was acquired by Warburg Pincus in January 2026, following a notable transformation under Thoma Bravo and JMI Equity. His background in the gaming industry is particularly noteworthy; he previously held the roles of President and CFO at Multimedia Games. There, he played a pivotal role in doubling the company’s revenue, tripling its profitability, and substantially increasing its market capitalization from about $47 million to over $1 billion before its acquisition for $1.2 billion.
Chibib's other notable experiences include being the Chairman of the Board and Audit Committee Chair for playAGS during its acquisition in 2025, as well as holding financial leadership roles at Self Financial and NetSpend, among various tech firms.
Comments from Leadership
Hector Fernandez, IGT’s CEO, expressed confidence in Chibib’s appointment, stating, "Adam brings the public company, private equity, and gaming experience we need for this stage of IGT's transformation. His financial discipline and operational mindset will be essential as we sharpen execution efforts and enhance cash flow generation."
Chibib himself is enthusiastic about taking on this new challenge, noting, "IGT has a strong portfolio, leading market positions, and a clear opportunity to create value. I look forward to collaborating with Hector, the leadership team, and the Finance organization to reinforce our financial and operational discipline and align our capital strategies with the highest priorities to establish a sustainable growth foundation."
Strategic Transformation Focus
Under Chibib’s financial leadership, IGT is pursuing a comprehensive transformation strategy emphasizing operating discipline and portfolio performance across its Gaming, Digital, and FinTech sectors. This involves a detailed alignment of financial strategy with capital deployment and business execution to support the company's long-term ambitions.
Reflecting on the transition, Fabio Celadon, the outgoing CFO, leaves a remarkable legacy after spending over two decades with IGT and its predecessor firms. His leadership has been instrumental in guiding the company through significant changes, an impact that will be felt as IGT moves forward.
