E-Zakkamania Stores Grand Re-Opening After Bankruptcy in 2026

E-Zakkamania Stores Grand Re-Opening: A Successful Comeback

On March 3, 2026, E-Zakkamania Stores celebrated its grand re-opening, signaling a remarkable comeback following its bankruptcy in 2025. Operated by Zootie Co., Ltd., based in Tokyo, the e-commerce platform temporarily closed its doors the previous year, but with new ownership and a commitment to customer interaction, it has risen from the ashes.

The Road to Resurgence

E-Zakkamania Stores, originally part of the Zootie brand, ceased operations in April 2025 due to financial challenges. However, the company swiftly transferred ownership to FujiStar Co., Ltd. by September. Understanding the brand's core values and retaining some of the original team members were key factors in the continuation of E-Zakkamania’s spirit under the new management.

Once the new company was established, they faced the challenging task of regrouping products and reviving product development, which had been put on hold for over six months during the business closure. Initial stock was scarce, but a wave of support from customers, including over 1,500 messages on social media, highlighted the demand for the store's return. Prominent voices in their community urged the company to come back, demonstrating a strong emotional connection between the brand and its patrons.

In response to their loyal customers, E-Zakkamania Stores reopened on October 29, 2025, with a limited selection but a big heart.

Focus on Customer Engagement

Upon re-launch, the new management took a different approach focused on meaningful customer interaction rather than traditional advertising and price competition. They aimed to cultivate a healthier retail environment by placing an emphasis on co-creating experiences with customers. Initiatives included:
  • - Restock Request Campaigns: Gathering customer feedback on products they would like to see return.
  • - Seasonal Community Engagements: Inviting customers to participate in product trials, like the innovative
