Zenko Research Institute to Enhance Digitalization in Care Services
The Zenko Research Institute, located in Minato, Tokyo, is thrilled to announce its selection for the "Care Plan Data Linkage System Utilization Promotion Project" conducted by the Suginami Ward of Tokyo. This initiative aims to introduce and promote the adoption of the Care Plan Data Linkage System within local caregiving businesses, ultimately striving to enhance productivity and improve working conditions in the caregiving sector.
Overview of the Care Plan Data Linkage System Promotion Project
This project is managed by the Japan Health Insurance Association and focuses on implementing a system that assists in the provision of care services in Suginami Ward. Zenko Research will leverage its extensive experience in supporting digital transformation (DX) in the caregiving sector across various municipalities nationwide. The goal is to fully support the deployment and utilization of this system in Suginami.
The key areas of focus for this project include:
- - Hosting informational sessions for care service providers both online and in-person, including hybrid formats.
- - Establishing and managing a support site for participating organizations.
- - Providing hands-on assistance for the implementation of the linkage system to up to 90 care service providers.
- - Conducting interviews and timed studies at model care sites.
- - Compiling a collection of best practice examples.
Commitment to Supporting Care Services Up to 2025
Zenko Research is dedicated to fostering digital talent in the caregiving domain and is enhancing its supportive frameworks for local and administrative digitalization initiatives, especially leading into the 2025 fiscal year. This year, the institute has already committed to provide supportive measures to over 1,000 care service establishments across 32 regions nationwide. The approach taken is flexible and aligned with the realities of the field. The aim is to facilitate a close partnership with municipalities, businesses, and care providers to establish models at the local level, which can be adapted and rolled out across the country.
Zenko Research Institute's Philosophy
Zenko Research operates under two guiding philosophies: to serve as a model for operations and to be a leading force in shaping the future of the caregiving industry. The institute has accumulated expertise from social welfare organizations, such as Zenko-kai, which operates care facilities and in-home support services. It seeks to widely disseminate this knowledge both domestically and internationally.
The knowledge shared transcends facility-based services, extending to in-home services, to enhance sustainability in caregiving. Recognizing the importance of digitalization in the caregiving sector, Zenko Research has also participated in the implementation of the Care Plan Data Linkage System, a priority initiative by the Ministry of Health, Labor, and Welfare (MHLW).
