Kyoritsu Maintenance’s Beach Cleanup Projects Join Forces for Sustainable Communities
In a commendable initiative towards environmental conservation, Kyoritsu Maintenance, represented by President Koji Nakamura, held beach cleanup activities in three picturesque locations across Japan: Shibudata Beach in Shichigahama, Hyogo Prefecture's Suma Coast, and Kanagawa Prefecture's Kannonzaki Beach. This event gathered an impressive total of 113 enthusiastic participants, including students residing at the Dormy accommodation facilities operated by the company and dedicated hotel staff, promoting both local tidiness and a heightened awareness of environmental issues.
Background of the Initiative
Continuing from a successful effort in the previous year, Kyoritsu Maintenance expanded its beach cleanup program by adding Shichigahama this year to the existing locales of Suma and Kannonzaki. Each chosen region possesses unique characteristics and cultural significance, yet they all share a rich natural environment peppered with beautiful coastlines loved by the local community. The collaboration between Dormy residents and hotel staff aimed to not just clean up litter but also to foster a sense of community and enhance environmental consciousness among participants, providing an invaluable hands-on SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) experience.
