FOD SHORT Expands Beyond Japan: A New Global Infrastructure
On April 15, 2026, Fuji TV's short drama application, FOD SHORT, made its long-anticipated debut in the North American market, marking the company's first foray outside of Japan. With its sights set on reaching over 100 countries, FOD SHORT aims to introduce international audiences to the delight of Japanese dramas.
FOD SHORT has rapidly gained traction since its launch in Japan in July 2025, topping both revenue and download metrics among short drama publishers according to Sensor Tower by December 2025.
