PowerX Reaches Production Milestone with Mega Power 2700A

PowerX, headquartered in Tamano City, Okayama Prefecture, has officially announced that its large-scale battery system, the Mega Power 2700A, has reached a significant production milestone of 500 units. This achievement translates to an impressive capacity of approximately 1.37 GWh, enough to meet the daily electricity needs of around 128,000 households.

The Mega Power 2700A is designed as a robust energy storage solution, equipped with 2,742 kWh of lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries within a 20-foot container format. Production takes place at PowerX's second factory in Okayama, employing a made-to-order manufacturing approach. Since the first unit was delivered in December 2023, PowerX has been steadily addressing the growing demand for energy storage systems, facilitating an increasing number of shipments across various applications.

These systems are being implemented in multiple settings, primarily within grid storage facilities, and are also utilized in combination with solar power stations, energy management at factories, and logistics centers. The diverse applications of the Mega Power 2700A highlight PowerX's commitment to providing innovative solutions that support energy efficiency and sustainability.
