Celebrating 20 Years of Excellence: The TOUR360 20th Anniversary Model
Adidas Japan, headquartered in Minato, Tokyo and led by CEO Kohei Hagi, introduces the limited edition "TOUR360 20th Anniversary" model to commemorate the two-decade legacy of its flagship golf shoes, the TOUR360. This remarkable footwear, which pays homage to the original model while integrating cutting-edge technology, will officially launch on November 7. Golf enthusiasts can purchase it through the Adidas official online store, the Adidas app, and at the Adidas Brand Core Store in Ginza, Tokyo.
The TOUR360 series has long stood as a paragon of performance and innovation since its debut in 2005. It has not only become a favorite among golfers of all levels around the globe but has also been donned by over a hundred professional male and female golfers who have clinched championships wearing them. The current season saw Zander Schauffele secure a win at PGA Tour's only official tournament in Asia while sporting the TOUR360, and the same footwear contributed to victories in both the European Men's and Women's Tours during that week. This reflects the trust placed in these shoes by numerous top-tier athletes worldwide.
To celebrate the 20th anniversary, Adidas has dedicated efforts to recreate the original TOUR360 model, infusing it with modern technologies. The upper part of the shoe is crafted from a combination of natural and synthetic leather, faithfully echoing the silhouette of the first edition. The midsole is equipped with BOOST and LIGHTSTRIKE cushioning materials, similar to those featured in the upcoming "TOUR360 24", designed to support powerful swings and ensure a comfortable experience during long walks on the golf course. Additionally, the outsole boasts seven spikes utilizing THINTECH traction, enhancing grip during swings.
The aesthetic details of the model also showcase its unique identity. Notably, the back of the tongue is embossed with "est. 2005", while a metallic element bearing the number “20” enriches the top eyelet. The shoe features a silver logo reminiscent of the original model on the heel and comes packaged in a special shoe box honoring the legacy of previous TOUR360 models.
Mason Dennison, Adidas Golf's Footwear Director, expresses the importance of this release by highlighting its historical significance. "20 years ago, the TOUR360 was introduced as a bold and athletic high-performance product, challenging conventional wisdom. Following this, we have launched over 10 models while continually redefining innovation and performance, making the TOUR360 an icon in the Adidas Golf line-up. This recent model is an homage to where it all began, and I hope those who experienced its groundbreaking features back then feel a wave of nostalgia."
The TOUR360 20th Anniversary model is available in sizes ranging from 24.5 to 31.5 cm and weighs approximately 455g (for one foot in size 25.5 cm). Customers can explore various purchases through the Adidas core store, mobile app, or online shop.
