7th Garupa Cup Details

The 7th Garupa Cup will consist of both individual and team competitions. The initial qualifiers are set for October 25 to October 27, 2025, while the subsequent qualifiers will be conducted from January 11 to January 13, 2026. The finals are slated for March 22, 2026, in a studio located in Tokyo.

Competition Structure

Individual Competition: Each participant competes solo, while for the Team Competition, teams consist of three members. Participants are welcome to join both formats.

Individual Competition Rules

1. Qualifiers: Each player will compete in two songs during the qualifiers. The players with the highest combined scores will proceed, with 1,000 participants in the first round and 10 in the second.
2. Semifinals and Finals: The top 10 from the second round will compete in the semifinals, broken into two groups. Each group winner will then face off in the finals, featuring a one-on-one competition.
3. Song Selection: Semifinals consist of one common song plus two group-specific songs, while finals feature a fixed set of three tracks.

Team Competition Rules

1. Similar to the individual structure, team members must aim for the highest scores collectively in the same song during qualifiers.
2. A total of 100 teams will move through the first round, narrowing down to four for the finals.
3. Teams will compete using a common track followed by selections based on previous performances in advancing rounds.

Important Notes

• - Equipment for semifinal and final phases will be provided by the event organizers.
• - Points, rather than raw scores, will decide the winners post-semifinal.
• - In the event of a tie, a maximum of two rounds of tiebreakers will occur.

Rules and Violations

• - Security measures against fraudulent play involve the revocation of entry for multiple data transfers during qualifiers. Non-compliance with participation regulations in team play will lead to disqualification.

Starting October 11, players can enjoy several festive bonuses:
