Subaru Unveils 2025 Forester Wilderness with Impressive Capabilities and Pricing
Subaru Reveals the 2025 Forester Wilderness
Subaru of America, Inc. has officially announced the pricing for its newly-designed 2025 Forester Wilderness SUV, a robust model aimed at adventure enthusiasts looking for reliable off-road performance. Starting at an MSRP of $34,995, the Forester Wilderness boasts several upgrades and features that position it as a leader in the compact SUV segment.
The 2025 Forester Wilderness is built upon the strong foundations of its predecessor while enhancing its capabilities significantly. This model includes an impressive 9.2 inches of ground clearance, making it suitable for a variety of terrains. It's designed for those who seek adventure, whether it's navigating through mud, handling wet road conditions, or traversing snowy trails. This SUV is the most rugged version of the Forester ever built, equipped with features that foster confidence when off the beaten path.
Among the enhancements, the Forester Wilderness features upgraded suspension systems and longer coil springs and shock absorbers. This contributes to a smoother ride and better control on challenging surfaces. The vehicle is outfitted with 17-inch matte-black alloy wheels that are fitted with All-Terrain Yokohama GEOLANDAR® tires. These tires provide improved traction, ensuring that drivers can confidently tackle a variety of outdoor environments. For those venturing off-road, a full-size spare tire is conveniently secured underneath the cargo area, adding an extra layer of reliability.
Design Features
The Forester Wilderness stands out visually with its distinct design elements. A unique front fascia incorporates a hexagonal grille and hexagonal LED fog lights, enhancing both its aesthetics and functionality. In addition, the model features larger cladding around the wheels for a more aggressive appearance, along with a front skid plate to shield the underbody from debris during off-road excursions. An anti-glare matte black decal on the hood prevents reflections that could distract the driver, while also contributing to the vehicle's rugged persona.
Inside, the Subaru Forester Wilderness is equipped with water-resistant StarTex® seating surfaces designed for easy cleaning after muddy adventures, as well as all-weather mats and a cargo tray adept at handling both gear and muddy boots. The SUV's robust ladder-style roof rails can support up to 800 pounds when stationary, making it ideal for carrying a rooftop tent or other gear.
Space and Comfort
The interior offers practicality with a 60/40-split folding rear seat, which opens up to an incredible 69.1 cubic feet of cargo space. The rear gate opens wide at 51.2 inches, making loading and unloading oversized items a breeze. Comfort is not sacrificed with ample legroom that accommodates five passengers, and a substantial 26.9 cubic feet of cargo space behind the second-row seats.
When it comes to towing, the Forester Wilderness excels with a towing capacity of up to 3,000 pounds. This feature is accompanied by standard Trailer Stability Assist, enhancing safety while towing.
Advanced Safety Technologies
Safety is paramount in the Forester Wilderness. Standard features include Subaru's EyeSight® Driver Assist Technology, which encompasses several assistive functions such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Pre-Collision Braking, and Lane Departure Alerts among others. Notably, it also includes Automatic Emergency Steering and Blind-Spot Detection, aiming to aid the driver in preventing accidents at slower speeds.
Performance Specs
Under the hood, every 2025 Subaru Forester Wilderness is powered by a 2.5-liter SUBARU BOXER® engine, paired with a Lineartronic CVT. This combination outputs 182 horsepower and 176 pound-feet of torque, driven through Subaru's signature Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system. The vehicle comes equipped with a SUBARU STARLINK® 6.5-inch Multimedia system that integrates with Apple CarPlay® and Android™ Auto for seamless smartphone connectivity.
An optional package adds an 8.0-inch STARLINK Multimedia Navigation System, premium audio from Harman Kardon, and a Power Rear Gate for an additional $2,000.
The 2025 Subaru Forester Wilderness will roll out to retailers in early 2025, crafted alongside the brand-new Forester in Gunma, Japan. With its compelling mix of rugged capability, advanced technology, and safety features, it's set to be a standout option for adventurous drivers looking to explore the great outdoors.
