WALOVI Expands Its Presence in Southern Europe with Strategic Deals

WALOVI Expands Presence in Southern Europe

WALOVI, a leading health beverage brand from China, recently made significant strides in its European expansion efforts by signing distribution agreements in both Portugal and Spain. This move marks a strategic transition from scattered market entries to a cohesive regional focus, responding to the growing demand for health-conscious products.

From April 19 to 22, 2026, WALOVI’s delegation traveled from Macau to Lisbon and Madrid, comprising over 100 members, with nearly 40% representing the technology and health sectors. This delegation aimed to leverage Macau’s unique position as a bridge between China and Portuguese- and Spanish-speaking markets while securing vital partnerships.

On the first day in Lisbon, WALOVI engaged with local supermarkets and initiated talks with VOZ DA SAUDADE, a prominent Asian food importer in Portugal. The following day, they formalized a partnership during a trade event, which aims to expand WALOVI's reach and promote its diverse offerings from the Chinese community to a broader consumer base.

Continuing their momentum, WALOVI met with EMB FOOD in Madrid on April 22. EMB FOOD is well-known for successfully introducing various Chinese brands into the Spanish market. Both parties discussed strategies for introducing WALOVI’s products to major retail chains, culminating in their agreement being signed during a promotional event between Macau and Spain.

According to recent statistics from Circana, Spain’s plant-based food market is thriving, exhibiting a growth rate of 7.5%, making it one of the fastest-growing markets in Europe. Notably, over 90% of juice sales are conducted through supermarkets, emphasizing the strategic importance of WALOVI's partnership with EMB FOOD in enabling the brand’s integration into mainstream retail.

That evening in Macau, WALOVI received accolades for the refreshing taste of its products, further solidifying its reputation in the industry.

This trip occurs just before WALOVI’s global investment conference scheduled for May 2, 2026, at its headquarters in Guangzhou, inviting global partners to partake in the burgeoning plant-based beverage market.

An Evolving Strategy for Growth

In recent years, WALOVI's international ventures have seen remarkable success, with products launched in countries such as Germany, Saudi Arabia, and Australia. The recent agreements in Portugal and Spain symbolize a new phase for WALOVI, reflecting its deeper regional strategy as opposed to its previously scattered approach.

The growing popularity of natural and healthy plant-based products among young Europeans has fueled WALOVI’s overseas market expansion, with a staggering increase of 6.5 times (CAGR exceeding 25%) over the past decade, now extending to over 100 countries. Europe, in particular, leads the growth trajectory with annual increases surpassing 30% over the last five years.

From its debut at the 1925 London Expo to its current presence on the Iberian Peninsula, WALOVI's evolution showcases the journey of Chinese brands transitioning from merely 'going global' to crafting deeper and more meaningful regional engagements. As WALOVI continues to bring Eastern wellness practices into households around the world, it remains well-equipped to tap into the surging global interest in health and wellness.

In conclusion, the recent agreements in Southern Europe exemplify WALOVI’s commitment to its growth strategy while responding to the increasing consumer interest in health-conscious beverages. With events like the upcoming conference, WALOVI aims to secure its position as a key player in the expanding market for plant-based drinks.
