Exclusive UnionPay International and InterContinental Hotels Group Promotion for Global Travelers

This initiative aims to improve the travel experience for UnionPay cardholders by providing immediate discounts of up to 15% at over 500 selected hotels across mainland China.

Promotion Details

From June 10 to October 31, 2025, customers using UnionPay credit cards issued outside of mainland China can enjoy instant discounts when booking accommodations at participating hotels. These bookings can be made via the official website or the IHG One Rewards mobile application, where UnionPay online payments are accepted at checkout. For instance, travelers utilizing UnionPay credit cards from South Korea or UnionPay SplendorPlus cards can avail themselves of discounts of 15%, capped at 400 RMB. Other UnionPay cardholders from abroad will receive a 10% discount, limited to 200 RMB.

The promotion features a broad range of hotels under IHG, including renowned luxury and lifestyle brands such as Six Senses Hotels, Regent Hotels, Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, and the more mainstream Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express properties. Currently, IHG operates over 800 hotels in mainland China, with more than 530 of these locations accepting UnionPay payments and participating in this offer.
