AAC Technologies Makes Waves at IAA Mobility, Showcasing Innovations in Automotive Acoustics
AAC Technologies Makes Waves at IAA Mobility
AAC Technologies recently marked its entry at the IAA Mobility in Munich with the theme "The Future of Sound in Motion." This event saw the company collaborating with notable partners like PSS, First Light Auto Parts, and PSG, aiming to showcase its comprehensive capabilities in automotive acoustics, haptics, optics, and motorized systems. It emphasizes the growing strength of China's innovation in the intelligent vehicle supply chain.
Having ventured into the automotive acoustics market in 2018, AAC has strategically integrated its operations through acquisitions and established a robust ecosystem that spans from detection, processing, to sound output. With their extensive expertise, AAC has become one of the select few providers offering complete acoustic solutions for the automotive sector, ready to deliver hardware, software, algorithms, and tuning processes.
At the exhibition, AAC’s booth attracted numerous visitors, including representatives from leading automotive manufacturers like Audi, BMW, Porsche, Changan Automobile, Volkswagen, Zeekr, Maruti Suzuki, Mercedes-Benz, and Skoda. Well-known audio partners such as Bose, Devialet, Harman, and Meridian also paid visits for in-depth discussions with the AAC team. These interactions enabled brands to explore the latest automotive solutions and sparked keen interest in future collaboration opportunities.
AAC Technologies stands out as one of the top ten global suppliers of audio systems for passenger vehicles and is the sole Chinese company to achieve this status. This accomplishment stems from a consistent annual investment of 7 to 10% of their revenue into research and development, supported by a worldwide network of R&D and production facilities across 19 countries and regions. With more than 18,000 patent applications filed, AAC’s commitment to innovation has cemented its position as a leading technology provider in the industry, making it one of the top 100 innovators globally.
A highlight of AAC’s exhibition was the luxurious SUV Zeekr 9X, co-developed alongside the British luxury audio brand Naim Audio. As a technical partner, AAC collaborated with Naim to design a tailored 9.2.4.8 dimensional audio system for the vehicle, featuring 32 speakers and 8 seat vibrators. The system is powered by a cutting-edge 40-channel amplifier, boasting a peak power output of 3868W, ensuring a fully immersive sound experience within the car’s interiors. Users can engage in exclusive listening modes that elevate their auditory experience from high-fidelity 2D sound to rich 3D surround sound and even immersive 4D experiences.
During the showcase in Munich, AAC highlighted its automotive acoustics solutions based on "physical AI," presenting real-world applications, including the Zeekr 9X that vividly illustrate the sensory impact of its innovations. With targeted customer profiling, their automotive sector revenue surged by 13% year-on-year, hitting 1.74 billion RMB in the interim report for 2025, solidifying its role as a significant growth driver.
As AAC continues to mature its integrated acoustic systems capabilities, it effectively combines expertise in consumer electronic modules with automotive applications, creating an end-to-end sound detection to playback loop. The company remains committed to aiding its subsidiaries like First Light Auto Parts and PSG in accelerating their expansion into international markets, while delivering highly personalized, immersive, safe, and intelligent driving experiences.
