Discover OLI's First Art Collection 'THE WARP' Releasing in July 2023

Embrace the Art of OLI: Unveiling 'THE WARP'

In a remarkable convergence of creativity and expression, OLI is set to launch their first art collection titled 'THE WARP' on July 13, 2023. Prior to the official release, an exclusive online pre-order will commence on June 27, 2023, offering art enthusiasts the chance to secure one of the limited edition copies.

A Unique Artistry

OLI, known for their innovative approach to visual expression, garnered attention with their distinctive style called WARP. This technique, developed during the challenging period of the COVID-19 pandemic, manipulates and distorts fragments of imagery to create a new balance on canvas. The collection features a total of 159 works, showcasing both OLI's earlier pieces and previously unpublished creations, all produced from 2020 to 2025.

Each work stands independently while contributing to an overall flow and rhythm, reminiscent of a fashion lookbook that resonates with shifting colors and seasonal transitions. This thoughtful curation reflects OLI's five-year artistic journey.

Engaging Conversations and Insights

The collection includes a remarkable 15-page dialogue at the end, featuring insights from Takuya Yamanaka of THE ORAL CIGARETTES and SIVA of MUZE, presented with English translations. This engaging conversation moves beyond surface-level discourse around techniques and careers, exploring the intrinsic processes involved in artistic expression and posing profound questions about the essence of art itself.

The Aesthetic Presentation

The book’s hardcover features a textured, high-quality fabric adorned with elegant gold foil, embodying OLI's artistic vision, which harmonizes classical motifs with avant-garde expressions. Each detail is meticulously designed to resonate with the viewer, inviting them into OLI's world of creativity.

OLI's Major Exhibition

To accompany the release of 'THE WARP', a grand exhibition will take place at the new contemporary art gallery VACANT ROOM in Omotesando, Tokyo. This exhibition, which runs from July 13 to August 3, 2023, marks OLI's largest solo show to date, showcasing around 20 new artworks. It presents a unique opportunity for visitors to experience OLI's artistic evolution and mastery firsthand.
