Fukui City is excited to announce a unique lunch fair titled "Fukui iine! Autumn Lunch Fair" at LDH Kitchen THE TOKYO HANEDA, running from October 14 through November 24, 2025. This event marks the first anniversary of the release of Fukui City’s promotional video and is organized in collaboration with LDH JAPAN, a company committed to regional revitalization.

The highlight of the lunch fair will be the special "Echizen Oroshi Soba" crafted by Kenchi Tachibana, a prominent figure from the famous groups EXILE and EXILE THE SECOND. This unique dish is rooted in a recent culinary competition where Tachibana teamed up with fellow GENERATIONS members, Hayato Komori and Yuta Nakatsukasa, during a shoot for LDH Japan's distribution service, “CL.” The soba dish has been meticulously developed from the winning recipe created by Tachibana himself.

Accompanying the soba will be a selection of local ingredients including fried tofu and cherry tomatoes, showcasing the best that Fukui has to offer. Lunch sets will also feature Fukui’s beloved specialty, sauce katsudon, alongside local ume juice for a truly regional gastronomic experience. All guests ordering lunch will receive an original Fukui City gift, the “Fukui iine! Misato Beach Olive Salt Candy,” available while supplies last.

To further celebrate Fukui's cultural richness, the event will showcase a special tapestry signed by all members of the EXILE LIVE TOUR 2025 “WHAT IS EXILE.” This tapestry, adorned with the signatures of notable artists including EXILE's ATSUSHI and TETSUYA who joined on the last day, is a treasured addition to this event.

Discovering Fukui's Culinary Wonders


To introduce the lunch fair’s menu, a special video titled "FUKUI Style Soba Feast Edition" has been released. In this video, Tachibana welcomes Yuta Nakatsukasa from GENERATIONS for a delightful tasting session featuring the unique "Special Echizen Oroshi Soba," "Sauce Katsudon," and "Ume Juice from Fukui Prefecture." Viewers will also get behind-the-scenes insights on the original Echizen Oroshi Soba competition.

In addition, Fukui’s stunning promotional videos - "FUKUI Style Gastronomic Bliss Edition" and "FUKUI Style Scenic Beauty Edition" - are currently available for viewing. These productions commemorate the first anniversary of the Hokuriku Shinkansen Fukui opening on March 2025, showcasing the diverse flavors and picturesque attractions of Fukui City, all narrated by Kenchi Tachibana.

The "Gastronomic Bliss Edition" captures the essence of local delicacies such as Echizen crab and Echizen soba, while the "Scenic Beauty Edition" tours famous spots around Fukui City, highlighting the region’s natural beauty.

Promoting Fukui’s Culinary Heritage


Kenchi Tachibana has taken on the role of Fukui City’s Food Promotion Ambassador since March 30, 2021, to amplify the region’s agricultural and culinary prowess. His involvement includes promoting Fukui’s unique offerings through various media and participating in food development initiatives at restaurants operated by LDH.

In an effort to further enhance its agricultural and gastronomic appeal, Fukui City has partnered with LDH JAPAN since March 6, 2023, to create strategic plans for regional revitalization across various sectors, including tourism, education, and cultural exchanges. This collaborative project aims to harness the potential of Fukui’s gastronomic landscape for broader recognition.

As Fukui City welcomes its new autumn celebration, “Dan☆Sta FUKUI 2025,” scheduled for October 11-12, 2025, there are ambitious plans to enrich the community through dance education and local engagement. Kenchi Tachibana will feature prominently in the opening events, supporting the local arts and inspiring the next generation with memorable experiences.
