In November, Tsunagaru Inc., in partnership with the City of Sapporo, conducted a media tour that offered foreign journalists a comprehensive experience of Sapporo's groundbreaking green transformation (GX) efforts. This ambitious initiative aims to position the city as a leading hub for green energy and financial advancements in Asia.
The tour commenced with the NIKKEI FORUM Global GX/Finance Conference on November 25, where Sapporo officials unveiled exciting plans for a public-private investment fund. This fund seeks to unlock the renewable energy potential of Hokkaido, with the city of Sapporo pledging ¥500 million as part of its goal to raise ¥10 billion targeted towards various GX projects. Notable founding investors of this fund include the Hokkaido Bank and North Pacific Bank, with plans for a March 2026 launch.
