Tencent Cloud Hackathon: Pioneering Innovations for Social Good

The inaugural Tencent Cloud Hackathon Global Roadshow Day took place alongside the 2025 Tencent Global Digital Ecosystem Summit in Shenzhen, China. This innovative event, which spanned 48 hours, saw the collaboration of 17 enthusiastic teams – a total of 46 developers – who worked diligently to create projects centered around the theme of “AI for Social Good.” Their mission: to leverage advanced technology for meaningful social impact, particularly in the fields of biodiversity and mental health.

A Platform for Innovation

Incorporating AI tools tailored for social impact, the hackathon unfolded in partnership with Tencent’s Sustainable Social Value (SSV). Developers dove into challenges under three pivotal tracks: AI Coding, AI Agent, and an International Category. The competition attracted an impressively diverse group of participants, including teams from prestigious academic institutions like City University of Hong Kong, Peking University, and Tsinghua University, alongside international talents from countries such as Japan, Malaysia, and Thailand. Each track offered lucrative prizes, with the grand prize reaching up to $10,000 USD for the winning team.
