Solis Mammography Welcomes Lisa Ashby as New CEO to Drive Women's Health Innovation
Solis Mammography Appoints Lisa Ashby as CEO
Solis Mammography, recognized as the largest independent provider of specialized breast health services in the U.S., has just announced a pivotal leadership change. Lisa Ashby has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. Her arrival marks a significant transition for the organization as she takes the reins from Grant Davies, who has been at the helm for six years and is retiring from his role.
Lisa Ashby brings an impressive three-decade background in healthcare leadership, characterized by a strong track record in strategic growth and a commitment to enhancing patient care. Formerly the CEO of Carestream Dental, Ashby successfully led a multi-year transformation of the company, steering its focus towards becoming a digital, patient-oriented platform. This included significant innovations in operational scale, advanced imaging technologies, and cloud and SaaS solutions, tailored for both healthcare providers and their patients.
Before her tenure at Carestream, Ashby spent over 25 years with Cardinal Health in various leadership roles, including President of Medical Devices and Diagnostics. In that position, she managed a substantial global portfolio, overseeing six different companies within the organization.
Under her leadership, Solis Mammography is poised to enhance its commitment to patient experience and clinical partnerships. Ashby aims to accelerate the company’s national growth strategy while thoughtfully broadening its service offerings. Solis holds a strong belief in providing higher standards of care for women, and Ashby's appointment is expected to further this mission by ensuring women have improved access to vital preventive healthcare services.
In a statement, retreating CEO Grant Davies expressed his confidence in Ashby's capabilities. He noted her sophisticated understanding of scaling complex healthcare organizations, which will be essential as Solis continues to expand its core mammography business and transition into a comprehensive women’s diagnostic health platform.
“I am honored to join Solis at such a pivotal moment in its growth,” Ashby commented. She looks forward to leveraging her extensive experience to help Solis expand its diagnostic and preventive healthcare solutions for women. Furthermore, she emphasized her excitement at collaborating closely with the Board and the talented team at Solis to build on the strong foundation and ongoing momentum as a leader in women's health.
The Vision for the Future
Solis Mammography has long been dedicated to the early detection of breast cancer, operating over 160 centers across 24 key markets in the U.S. The organization has committed itself to a boutique-style, retail healthcare experience and prides itself on the diverse partnerships it has formed with prominent hospitals and medical institutions.
As Ashby steps into her new role, she aims to enhance the preventive care landscape for women, underlined by an unwavering focus on patient-centric solutions and operational excellence. Solis’s status as a Great Place to Work Certified company further represents its commitment to fostering a supportive environment, not just for patients but for its workforce as well.
With Lisa Ashby at the helm, the future looks bright for Solis Mammography. Her leadership promises a continued dedication to women’s health and an unwavering focus on enhancing the quality of diagnostic care, reinforcing the organization's position as a leader in this vital healthcare sector.
