Addressing the Challenge of Fake Listings

The property management firms maintain records of available rentals, but sometimes the brokerage companies fail to promptly remove listings that are no longer available, resulting in unintentional 'dummy listings.' This not only affects user trust but also undermines the overall efficiency of the rental market.

To combat these challenges, LIFULL HOME'S has implemented an innovative, industry-first function named the 'automatic de-listing feature for ceased listings.' This tool, which has been operational since October 2019 and received a patent in December 2023, automatically removes listings that are no longer available, thus enhancing the freshness of property information offered.

Starting April 9, 2026, LIFULL HOME'S will align its systems with TAKUTO to cross-reference their ceased listing data with the rental information displayed on LIFULL HOME'S. Through this automated system, if a property managed by TAKUTO is either leased or is no longer available, that particular property will also be automatically de-listed from the LIFULL HOME'S portal.

This technological upgrade aims to alleviate the frustration users experience when they inquire about properties only to discover they are no longer available. By streamlining the process and ensuring up-to-date information, LIFULL HOME'S reinforces its commitment to providing precise and reliable property listings, particularly in the Kansai area which is known for its high concentration of single-person rental accommodations managed by TAKUTO.
