MākuSafe Recognized as 2026 Work to Zero Safety Innovation Challenge Champion
MākuSafe Makes Waves in Workplace Safety Innovations
In a significant advancement for workplace safety, MākuSafe has been announced as the proud winner of the 2026 Work to Zero Safety Innovation Challenge, organized by the National Safety Council (NSC). This annual event showcases cutting-edge technologies aimed at tackling some of the most pressing hazards faced by workers. In this year's focus, attendees directed their attention to the often-overlooked issue of workplace fatigue, a critical factor that can derail safety protocols and lead to serious incidents.
The NSC Safety Summit served as the backdrop for this year's challenge, where industry experts and participants converged to explore innovative solutions. The challenge was aimed at mitigating workplace fatigue, which significantly hampers workers’ decision-making abilities, slows their reaction times, and ultimately raises the potential for accidents. Over the course of the competition, which took place in collaboration with TechConnect, ten pioneering solution providers were initially presented. After rigorous evaluations and audience votes, three semifinalists emerged: electrocore, Inc., MākuSafe, and Predictive Safety SRP, Inc.
Each of the semifinalists had the opportunity to showcase their unique solutions during the Learning Lab that preceded the closing keynote session of the Summit. A panel of esteemed judges alongside the audience evaluated the presentations based on criteria such as innovation, scalability, and life-saving potential to determine the ultimate winner. *
