FamilyMart and Coca-Cola Bottlers Japan Collaborate for Clean-Up Activity

This event took place around the Coca-Cola Bottlers Japan's Kyoto factory in Kumiyama, Kyoto Prefecture, involving employees and their families. Since February 2023, FamilyMart and Coca-Cola Bottlers Japan have been working on various collaborative initiatives focusing on sustainability and the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The clean-up event is a tangible expression of this partnership, tied closely to the launch of the new product, "Chasurusaikai Corn Tea 600ml," set to debut on July 8, 2025. This product will be manufactured at the Kyoto factory using 100% recycled PET bottles through the "Bottle-to-Bottle" recycling method.

This initiative not only emphasizes the importance of resource circulation but also serves as an educational opportunity for employees. By participating in the clean-up, employees from both companies were reminded of their role in promoting a sustainable future through individual actions in their communities. With a total of 65 participants, including employees and their families, the day fostered teamwork and community spirit.

The clean-up took place in close proximity to the Coca-Cola factory and nearby FamilyMart stores, namely Kumiyama Mori Store and Kyoto Kumiyama Sako Store. This collaborative effort showcases how companies can unite to address environmental issues, reinforcing the message that collective action can lead to positive change.
