This August, immerse yourself in a sensory experience like no other at the UltraSuperNew KURA as we present an exciting exhibition titled "The Gal-Toned Life: Quality of Life" by artist and healer RICO RnR. This event is more than just an exhibition; it’s a journey that invites attendees to explore the multifaceted concept of Quality of Life through the unique lens of RICO’s artwork. Once a spirited member of the ‘Gal’ culture, RICO now translates that vibrant energy into healing expressions through art, challenging us to reflect on our life quality in novel ways.

The essence of “Gal Color” can be interpreted as an embodiment of liberated and vivid self-expression, symbolized by the freedom found in gal culture. RICO ingeniously intertwines this modern motif with ancient Eastern philosophies, such as the Five Elements (Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, Water) and the notion of Yin and Yang. In doing so, she delves deeply into how emotions, energy, and equilibrium profoundly affect our lives. One of RICO's key messages is that healing doesn’t have to be subdued or calm; it can be bright and chaotic, akin to a riot of neon lights. This perspective invites us to acknowledge that chaos, too, is sacred.

Through a rich tapestry of art, fragrances, sounds, colors, tactile experiences, and human connections, this exhibition creates an awakening of the senses and soul. As participants, you are urged to contemplate your unique color of life; your energy is the art itself.

Market Kura at UltraSuperNew KURA

In conjunction with the exhibition, the Second Market Day will be held on August 16th, promising a delightful lineup of creators and a community spirit akin to the first successful Market Day which took place on a sunny day in April. Previous attendees enjoyed the warm atmosphere as they savored craft beverages and mingled with talented artisans. This time, expect a similar joyful experience, where creativity flourishes and connections are made. The details are as follows:

RICO RnR: An Artist's Journey

RICO RnR, born on December 25, 1993, has fostered a deep connection to the unseen since her childhood. Living in four countries has granted her exposure to diverse cultures, religions, and values, facilitating the creation of a unique worldview that harmonizes contradictions—such as the universe and earth, spirit and matter, and prayer and reality. Currently, RICO integrates art, healing touch, natural food, and prayer into her practice, producing works that resonate with the senses and soul. Her diverse endeavors include mandalas, oracle cards, and live painting, all of which have been showcased both domestically and internationally. RICO’s goal is to spread gentle energy through her art, acting as a “praying artist” who empathizes with viewers’ intuitions.
