American Arbitration Association Enhances Mediation with New AI-Powered Tool for Easy Mediator Search

AAA® Launches AI-Powered Mediator Search Tool

The American Arbitration Association (AAA), recognized as a global frontrunner in alternative dispute resolution (ADR), has unveiled an innovative digital platform, the AAAi Mediator Search. This new tool is designed to revolutionize how individuals and businesses find mediators, promoting increased accessibility, transparency, and efficiency.

Redefining the Mediation Process

Mediation, as a means of conflict resolution, relies on both parties agreeing on a neutral party to facilitate the process. The AAAi Mediator Search tool is poised to simplify this often-complex system by allowing users to collaboratively select mediators whose skills and expertise align precisely with their specific case requirements.

Utilizing advanced artificial intelligence, the platform identifies potential mediators by applying a broad range of user-defined criteria. This includes factors such as subject-matter knowledge, geographical location, professional background, practice area, language skills, and even compensation rates. The results are ranked based on relevance, enabling users not only to view detailed mediator profiles but also to access resumes directly through the search interface. Additionally, users can initiate a case directly from the chosen mediator's profile page, significantly facilitating the process.

Leadership Insights

Bridget McCormack, president and CEO of the AAA, emphasized the importance of this launch, stating, “With the introduction of this tool, we're enhancing people's access to mediation, which stands as one of the most effective, though underutilized, methods for resolving disputes. Mediation allows parties to regain control, preserve relationships, and proceed with dignity. The AAAi Mediator Search enhances transparency and simplifies finding the right expert to guide them towards resolution.”

Tracey Frisch, the division vice president of mediation at the AAA, further elaborated on the significance of the platform. “AAAi Mediator Search represents a significant advancement in broadening access to prompt and effective dispute resolution. By facilitating easier access to our diverse array of highly qualified mediators, we are empowering all parties—ranging from individual consumers to large enterprises—with the essential resources needed to navigate disputes effectively, regardless of their complexity or specialization.”

Additional Resources Coming Soon

In conjunction with the launch of the AAAi Mediator Search, the AAA is also gearing up to introduce Mediation Magazine later this year. This online publication will feature in-depth articles, case studies, and insights from leading figures in the mediation field, aiming to serve as a valuable resource for professional development within the mediation community.

The AAA’s commitment grows stronger with these new innovations, ensuring that they deliver outstanding service to all parties engaged in the dispute resolution process. The association provides a wide range of mediation services, whether in-person, virtual, or hybrid, accommodating various sectors and personal matters.
