Cooking Fun Event for Kids

Join us for an exciting cooking event tailored for parents and their children! Scheduled for July 5, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Restaurant Cassolo in Toranomon, Tokyo, this event celebrates the release of the book "What You’ll Want to Cook Again and Again: Basic Cooking Skills for Elementary Students" authored by Aya Ushioda.

The event is co-hosted by Chef's Value, a subsidiary of CreeK & River Co., Ltd., which focuses on children's dietary education. Together, we will embark on a delicious cooking adventure titled "Cook Rice and Make Onigirazu!"

Event Highlights

At this fun and engaging session, families will learn how to make onsigirazu, a rice ball packed with flavorful ingredients that can be customized based on personal preferences. The event includes the following fun activities:
1. Observe how rice is cooked in a glass pot.
2. Participate in cooking rice using the pot.
3. Create your own onigirazu with chosen fillings!

- Location: Restaurant Cassolo, 2nd Floor, CORE Shintora, 4-1-1 Shinbashi, Minato-ku, Tokyo

- Parent and one child: 3,500 JPY
- Parent and two children: 4,500 JPY
(Includes book and materials. One book per family.)

Target Audience

This event is designed for elementary school students (from grades 1 to 6). A total of 12 families can participate, with a maximum of two children per family, limited to siblings only. In case of high demand, participation will be determined by a lottery system.

Required Items to Bring

- Hand towel
- Drink (water or tea)
- Apron and triangular band for the parent

Chef coats, hats, and scarves for kids will be provided by the event organizers.

Dress Code for Kids

To ensure safety, children must wear long pants (no shorts) and suitable shoes (avoid sandals and shoes without heels). Skirts or flowing garments should be avoided, and it's recommended to wear a T-shirt underneath the chef coat. For children with long hair, please tie it back securely to accommodate the chef hat.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations after 6 PM on the day before the event will incur a 100% fee. Please note that the included book will be sent post-event via contact from the organizers.
