Join the 'Tsugi no Tsugi' Kick-off Event
The Tokyo Metropolitan Government is excited to announce the launch of the 'Tsugi no Tsugi' project, aimed at supporting companies undergoing transfer of business to create new ventures and achieve what is termed a 'second start-up'. The kick-off event will be held on July 25, 2025, starting at 18:00 at the Tokyo Innovation Base in Yurakucho. If you are interested in joining, we encourage you to participate!
Event Details
The kick-off event will consist of three main parts: a keynote speech, a panel discussion, and a networking session.
Keynote Speech
The theme for the keynote presentation will be 'New Options for Entrepreneurship and Successful Case Studies on Second Start-ups'. The speaker, Shingo Iwata (CEO of the Samsung Group and the Takibi collaborative base), will address real success stories and provide hands-on insights into effective approaches for entrepreneurs.
Panel Discussion
Following this will be a panel discussion where esteemed panelists will share their real-life experiences regarding the challenges and failures they faced during their second start-up journeys. The panelists include:
- - Kurato Takahashi, Associate Professor at Tohoku University
- - Daisuke Toriyama, Executive Vice President of Nitto Towel Co., Ltd.
- - Keiichiro Fujita, Co-Founder of Setouchi Co., Ltd.
This segment will be moderated by Megumi Saito, COO of Light Light Co., Ltd.
Networking Session
The event will culminate in a networking opportunity, allowing participants to deepen connections and encourage collaboration.
