SB Technology Enhances Cloud Patrol with Oracle Cloud Support
SB Technology Corporation, headquartered in Shinjuku, Tokyo, led by CEO Shinichi Ada, has made an exciting announcement regarding its development and provision of the Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) and Attack Surface Management (ASM) service, known as 'Cloud Patrol.' Starting from November 12, 2025, Cloud Patrol will support Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), a move that responds to the growing needs of businesses using multi-cloud environments.
In recent years, the adoption of OCI has been on the rise, and with it, the demand for robust security measures across public cloud platforms like Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud. 'Cloud Patrol' is designed to bolster cloud security by detecting misconfigurations and discovering unintentionally exposed servers across these platforms. With the upcoming incorporation of OCI, Cloud Patrol will now be compatible with all four major cloud providers, allowing users to manage up to 1,000 protections at the same price, ensuring seamless management.
Key Features of OCI Support
1.
Emergency Risk Management
Cloud Patrol will notify users of high-risk ports that could lead to unauthorized access or data leaks, as well as deficiencies in authentication and permissions. Additionally, it will detect logins from unintended countries or abnormal login failures and inform clients accordingly.
2.
Guideline-Based Auditing
The service will conduct audits based on the Center for Internet Security (CIS) benchmarks, assessing compliance status for various environments. It provides an inventory of resources per audit item and visualizes results. Furthermore, users can access a dedicated site that guides them through remediation methods for each item.
3.
Attack Surface Management
This feature identifies publicly exposed resources and visualizes the attack surface, assisting users in minimizing risks effectively.
Pricing Structure
The service is priced starting from
¥50,000 per month (excluding tax), with no initial fees. The pricing allows for protection of up to
1,000 units at the same rate, with additional units requiring a separate subscription of
¥50,000 per month (excluding tax) for every additional 1,000 units. Protection counting is determined by:
- - Microsoft Azure: Number of subscriptions
- - AWS: Number of accounts
- - Google Cloud: Number of projects
- - OCI: Number of compartments

Future Developments
Moving forward, the company plans to introduce new features specifically tailored for OCI environments. This includes an 'Attack Path Report' functionality, which maps out the pathways attackers might exploit through multiple security misconfigurations within a cloud environment. Additionally, they aim to align with the interim summaries of security assessment criteria proposed by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, pertaining to strengthening security in supply chains.
