Seminar Announcement: Dementia Preparedness
Nagaokakyo Hospital, a partner healthcare organization of Central Medience, will host an enlightening seminar on dementia on May 21, 2026. The seminar is part of a series aimed at extending the healthy lifespan of local residents through expert-led discussions. With previous themes garnering significant interest, this 20th session will focus on "Dementia Preparedness - Understanding Support and Consultation Options".
What to Expect
The seminar will feature four esteemed staff members from various community-based support centers in Nagaokakyo, who will discuss consultation options and the support systems available after a dementia diagnosis. Additionally, Dr. Rina Fujita and Dr. Makiko Shinomoto, both specialists in neurology at Nagaokakyo Hospital, will provide insights into the diagnosis of dementia, making this an invaluable opportunity for attendees seeking to deepen their understanding of the condition.
Whether you are worried about the health of your family members or simply wish to prepare for the future, all community members are invited to participate freely. There will also be a Q&A session towards the end of the seminar, allowing attendees to clarify any doubts or concerns they might have. We wholeheartedly welcome everyone to join us for what promises to be an informative and supportive event.

Comments included appreciation such as "I learned so much" and "I plan to incorporate the bamboo shoot-picking exercise into my routine!"
