Studio McGee and Broadbent Unveil Stunning Custom Home for Crumbl's Jason McGowan in Utah

A Spectacular New Home for Jason McGowan

In an exciting project that merges design and function, Broadbent Architectural Studio and Studio McGee have transformed a vision into reality with the unveiling of a bespoke 25,113-square-foot residence for Crumbl founder Jason McGowan. Nestled within the scenic Oxford Road Development in Utah Valley, this striking home represents the collaborative efforts of four esteemed firms: Broadbent Architectural Studio, Studio McGee, Northland Design Group, and McEwan Custom Homes.

A Collaborative Vision

The design process was steeped in close partnership with McGowan and his family, focusing on creating a space that embodies warmth and craftsmanship. The result is a living environment where architecture, interiors, landscape, and construction are seamlessly integrated, offering a balance between grandeur and comfort. As stated by Colton Broadbent, founder of Broadbent Architectural Studio, the aim was to redefine the notion of home while ensuring familiarity and comfort for its inhabitants.

Welcoming and Grounded Design

Shea McGee, the founder of Studio McGee, emphasized that every area of the home, despite its expansive layout, was designed to feel personal and inviting. The project embodies true family life, with 10 bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, and four half baths, making it ideal for a family of nine. The home is not just about size; it focuses on creating a nurturing environment that supports the daily rhythms of the family.

Luxurious Amenities

This custom residence is outfitted with an array of luxurious amenities designed for both entertainment and relaxation. Among its impressive features are:
  • - A music conservatory that inspires creativity
  • - A glass-floor basketball court for sports enthusiasts
  • - A bowling alley and a golf simulator for family fun
  • - A resort-style pool complete with a hidden slide
  • - A cabana featuring a full kitchen and an integrated media system
  • - A 7-on-7 soccer field perfect for active play
  • - An amphitheater that serves as a venue for community gatherings and events

These elements combine to create a haven where leisure meets luxury, allowing the family to celebrate both their individual interests and shared experiences.

Community-Centric Design Philosophy

Situated within the Oxford Road Development, the residence is part of a larger vision set forth by McGowan—an initiative aimed at fostering community connection, safety, and architectural integrity. The design seeks not only to accommodate the McGowan family’s lifestyle but also to enhance the overall community experience through thoughtful and open design principles.
