JETRO Online Job Fair Autumn 2025

Starting from October 20, 2025, Japan's leading job fair aimed at foreign students and Japanese language learners will be held. The event, organized by Gakujo, under the commission of the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), is set to connect foreign talent with approximately 147 Japanese companies eager to expand their global business presence.

The JETRO Online Job Fair is one of the largest in Japan for foreign students, providing invaluable opportunities for international job seekers. Over five days, from October 20 to 24, participants will engage with companies across various industries through live presentations in Japanese. Each company aims to attract highly skilled foreign professionals to drive innovation and expand their business overseas.

This year marks the sixth occurrence of this prominent event, which has received positive feedback from participating companies in previous years. Many organizations report successful encounters with talented individuals, often leading to significant job offers. For context, the 2024 job fair demonstrated a remarkable average of over 40 applications per company, indicating a strong interest in talent acquisition from the foreign workforce.

This year, 147 companies from 35 prefectures are expected to join the fair. They include a diverse array of organizations ranging from leading automobile battery manufacturers with a substantial market share to startups involved in cross-border e-commerce using AI technology.

The manufacturing sector comprises about half of the participating companies, followed by technical services at 12%. Other represented industries include finance, logistics, agriculture, and real estate, all showcasing a diverse range of opportunities for applicants.

The job positions available favor technical roles, encompassing about 52% of the total listings, with sales positions making up 23%. This trend illustrates the companies' strategies to recruit professionals with specialized skills and insights into overseas operations.

• - Food Manufacturing: Overseas Sales, Social Media Management for Foreign Markets, New Product Development, etc.
