SIGEP World 2025: A Global Gastronomic Showcase

The Italian Exhibition Group (IEG) is gearing up for SIGEP WORLD, the premier trade show dedicated to foodservice excellence, which will take place in Rimini, Italy, from January 18 to 22, 2025. This year, the event promises to be more global than ever before, featuring Saudi Arabia as the guest country.

With 2025 marking the 46th edition of SIGEP WORLD, expectations are sky-high. More than 3,000 buyers are anticipated, representing various sectors including gelato, pastry, bakery, coffee, and chocolate. The trade show will welcome exhibitors from 33 different countries, with significant participation from Germany, Spain, China, France, Turkey, Belgium, Poland, and the United States.

Corrado Peraboni, the CEO of IEG, enthusiastically stated, "Thanks to our strategic partnerships with the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and ITA-Italian Trade Agency, we have developed a solid network that fosters international business relations." This year’s event is expected to generate dialogues that will bridge global markets, especially in the rapidly evolving foodservice sectors.

Saudi Arabia's involvement as the guest country highlights its growing significance in the global foodservice industry. According to Flavia Morelli, head of IEG's Food & Beverage division, "With a booming economy and increasing demand for innovative services, Saudi Arabia is emerging as a frontier for international food trends." Top Saudi foodservice buyers, including major coffee shop chains like Barn's, are expected to participate actively at the expo.

The trade show plans to facilitate international connections further by launching a direct flight between Munich and Rimini, offering convenience to attendees.

SIGEP WORLD will emphasize sustainability and technological innovation within foodservice. To this end, 40 different events are scheduled, with 60 speakers from the out-of-home industry set to discuss pressing topics. The event will also highlight a Top Buyers' Programme, featuring 520 buyers from 79 countries including the United States, India, Canada, Brazil, Turkey, and China. Additionally, roughly 2,500 European players from Spain, Germany, France, Romania, Greece, and the UK will engage through a designated Premium Programme.

International delegates are not just confined to European nations; the list includes professional associations such as the North American Ice Cream Association, the Baking Association of Canada, and the Restaurant Association of South Africa, among others. Such a diverse influx underscores the critical role SIGEP plays in shaping foodservice trends globally.

The significance of SIGEP WORLD 2025 lies not just in its size, but in its ability to act as a catalyst for innovation. As it continues to expand, the event offers unmatched opportunities for networking, idea exchange, and collaboration among industry leaders, ultimately showcasing the best that the foodservice industry has to offer.

In conclusion, SIGEP WORLD 2025 is set to be an international hub of culinary innovation, with strong representation from Saudi Arabia and numerous other participating nations. The convergence of ideas, technologies, and cultures promises to leave a lasting impact on all attendees, making it an event not to be missed.
