Boyne Resorts Launches Boyne Forever Foundation to Strengthen Community Impact

Boyne Resorts Unveils Boyne Forever Foundation

In a significant move to enhance community engagement and environmental responsibility, Boyne Resorts, the largest family-owned four-season resort company in North America, has launched the Boyne Forever Foundation. This independent public charity, classified as a 501(c)(3), aims to unite the 13 properties of Boyne Resorts under a shared mission of safeguarding the environment, investing in local communities, and empowering the resort staff. This initiative marks a historic chapter in Boyne's legacy, which spans nearly 80 years of dedication to community service and environmental stewardship.

The Boyne Forever Foundation (BFF) is designed to elevate the impact of Boyne Resorts’ charitable efforts. It has identified three primary focus areas that resonate with the company's ethos:
1. Community Investment
2. Team Support
3. Environmental Conservation

The launch of the foundation reinforces Boyne Resorts’ commitment to these core values, which have defined the company since it was founded in 1948. According to Stephen Kircher, CEO of Boyne Resorts and President of the BFF Board, this initiative is a formalization of their long-standing dedication to supporting the mountain communities, preserving natural landscapes, and appreciating the contributions of their employees and guests.

Prominent snowboarder Zoe Kalapos has joined the foundation as an ambassador, underscoring the profound relationship she has with Boyne, stemming from her childhood experiences at the resort. “Boyne has always been more than just a place to ride for me; it’s where I became who I am as an athlete and as a person,” Kalapos shared. Her involvement highlights the foundation's objective to ensure that future generations of athletes and outdoor enthusiasts have access to quality facilities, vibrant communities, and opportunities to thrive.

The foundation’s leadership team includes Executive Director Michelle Wein, who grew up skiing at Boyne Mountain. Wein’s passion for the resort and its community positions her as a perfect fit for the role, as she embodies the organization's mission of honoring the legacy of both the natural environment and the people who shape its character.
