On January 27, 2025, the two companies announced their collaboration, establishing Ace as Spiro's exclusive global recycling partner. This partnership is particularly focused on recycling lithium-ion battery material, which includes lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries, derived from Spiro's end-of-life batteries and waste products generated from its manufacturing processes in Africa.

Co-located Recycling Centers

A key component of the agreement involves the development of co-located recycling centers situated near Spiro's collection hubs. These centers will utilize Ace's proprietary, eco-friendly technology to ensure that battery recycling is handled efficiently and safely.
