This year's competition highlighted the ambitions and dreams of junior high school students across Japan, showcasing their thoughtful reflections on their futures. This student, inspired by their mother's experience with glaucoma, has developed a keen interest in nerve regeneration. Following participation in an Ivy League tour, they realized their dream of becoming a doctor and researcher focused on brain and nerve regenerative medicine, utilizing AI as a collaborative partner in their future work.

2. “Unraveling the Twinkle of Stars through Data Science” (2nd Place, Grade 9)

Fascinated by the fluctuations of light and the mathematical models that explain them, this student has a vision of supporting breakthroughs in astrophysics through data science, ultimately expanding human knowledge of the universe.

3. “Bridging Information Technology and Social Ethics through Mathematics” (3rd Place, Grade 8)

Conscious of the gap between rapidly advancing AI technologies and existing legal frameworks, this student aims to incorporate ethical norms into AI research, aspiring to build a society that prioritizes human-centered infrastructure.
