Vernier Science Education Opens Applications for 2026 Inspiration Grants to Support STEM Teachers

Vernier Science Education Opens Applications for 2026 Inspiration Grants

Vernier Science Education is thrilled to announce the opening of applications for its prestigious 2026 Inspiration Grants. These grants are tailored to recognize the creative efforts of educators in middle schools, high schools, and colleges across the United States who are committed to engaging students in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) through interactive learning experiences utilizing data-collection technology.

Vernier Science Education has a long-standing reputation of supporting STEM education for over 45 years, and the Inspiration Grants are designed to spotlight educators who innovate and inspire the next generation of STEM learners. A total of 10 deserving educators will be chosen to receive grants, each worth $1,000 in Vernier technology of their choice, along with a one-year subscription for Vernier Graphical Analysis® Pro, and three hours of professional development focused on enhancing their teaching strategies.

Jill Hedrick, CEO of Vernier Science Education, stated, “Hands-on learning and data collection provide students with the opportunity to link STEM concepts to real-world scenarios. The Inspiration Grants serve as a helpful conduit to support remarkable educators who foster meaningful learning experiences for their students.”

Application Process

The 2026 Inspiration Grants are open to middle school, high school, and college educators actively teaching in educational institutions within the U.S. Eligible applicants should note that they must not have previously received a grant from Vernier.

To apply, educators are required to specify how they plan to integrate $1,000 worth of Vernier technology into their classroom or lab environment, outlining how this technology will cater to their institution’s needs and enhance instructional quality. This application process not only assesses the originality of applicants' ideas but also their overall impact on student engagement and learning outcomes.

A selection committee comprised of educators and Vernier employees will evaluate the applications. All submissions must be completed by November 30, 2026, and the selected grantees will be announced on January 7, 2027.
