Golden Arrow's Noemi Target Delivers Impressive Gold Discovery in Chile's San Pietro Project

Golden Arrow Announces Promising Gold Results from Noemi Target

Golden Arrow Resources Corporation has recently revealed noteworthy outcomes from its summer exploration at the Noemi target, part of the San Pietro IOCG Project located in Chile. The results have sparked excitement within the industry, showcasing the potential for substantial gold resources in this underexplored area.

Exciting Findings from the Noemi Target

During the summer campaign, a total of 50 new samples were collected from the Noemi location. Impressively, 24 of these samples showed results exceeding 1 g/t of gold (Au). The chip channel sampling across the main structural zone identified notable averages, with significant lengths producing gold grades such as:
  • - 10.0 meters averaging 1.88 g/t Au
  • - 8.0 meters averaging 1.66 g/t Au
  • - 10.5 meters averaging 1.82 g/t Au

The structural zone itself has been mapped over a stunning strike length of 1 kilometer, boasting an average width of 25 meters, and reaching up to 40 meters wide at the surface. The promising aspect of this mapping is that the breccia system remains open in all directions beneath the surface, hinting at the potential for rich deposits underneath.

Exploration Context and Future Directions

Brian McEwen, the Vice President of Exploration and Development at Golden Arrow, expressed his enthusiasm regarding the findings. He noted, "Our initial impressions of Noemi were that it looked interesting, but what we found exceeded our expectations. The extensive gold-rich system we've discovered is promising in terms of both width and grade."

The exploration team will employ an excavator to facilitate trenching and detailed mapping of the Noemi area, seeking further extensions in zones currently shielded by cover. This mineralization is notably linked to tourmaline alteration, which is similar to the mineralization observed at the Lolita Norte target located just 3 kilometers to the west.

Moreover, McEwen added, "We recognize the considerable potential for multiple deposits at San Pietro, and we aim to continue exploration focused on delineating drill targets as our next priority."

Detailed Insights on Geographic and Geological Features

The Noemi target area spans approximately 2 kilometers by 3 kilometers and is strategically situated about 7 kilometers south of the Rincones resource. The geological mapping has identified fine-grained andesites, tuffs, and volcaniclastic rocks, which are uplifted by a microdiorite and intersected by substantial gravel cover in parts.

The alteration assemblage at Noemi is characterized by scapolite-actinolite-magnetite, reminiscent of IOCG-style copper mineralization. Specifically, the mapping in the area has identified a north-south extending structural system over about 1 kilometer by 750 meters in size. This area contains a brecciated zone replete with veining filled with minerals like tourmaline and quartz, contributing to the mineralization that has generated such robust gold and copper values.

Encouraging Sampling Results Confirm Future Exploration

Samples collected during the exploration have produced several intervals with remarkable grades of gold. For instance, specific samples returned substantial grades, confirming the rich potential of the Noemi target. Notably, sample CD001648 recorded 5.67 g/t Au in a narrow 0.30-meter-wide structure. As work continues across the wider area, the extended exploration efforts will remain crucial in unlocking further deposits potentially concealed by recent geological cover.

The main mineralized breccia vein structure indicates promising continuity, suggesting that further exploration may yield even more significant discoveries. Preliminary findings from historic workings near the northern segment of the structure revealed additional gold mineralization, warranting further investigation.

Conclusion

Golden Arrow's exploration at the Noemi target is a strong indicator of the area's potential for further development and resource discovery. With ongoing efforts to detail unexplored regions of the San Pietro Project, there is considerable excitement about what more may arise from future drilling campaigns. As this journey unfolds, Golden Arrow continues its commitment to advancing the prospect toward uncovering substantial deposits in one of Chile’s thriving mining zones.
