Renxa Enhances Support for Foreign Residents in Japan with Credit Saison Partnership

Bridging Language Barriers: Renxa and Credit Saison Collaborate to Aid Foreign Residents in Japan

Renxa Inc., based in Toshima, Tokyo, has recently announced an expanded collaboration with Credit Saison Co., Ltd., also headquartered in the same region. This strategic partnership aims to strengthen support systems for foreign residents in Japan, particularly in light of the increasing number of foreign residents — projected to reach over 4.12 million by the end of 2025. In an effort to provide a more seamless integration process for these residents, Renxa and Credit Saison will enhance their services through various multilingual life support options under the banner of 'Global Support Desk' and 'Global Support Desk Plus'.

Addressing Social Challenges for Foreign Residents

As Japan continues to welcome more foreign residents, challenges arising from language and cultural differences are becoming increasingly evident. Many tackle complex issues regarding administrative procedures and utility contracts, and they often find it difficult to navigate daily life in a foreign country. The increased responsibility for companies and organizations that employ foreign talent to assist these residents is a growing concern. Thus, establishing a robust support framework to alleviate these burdens has become imperative. Renxa’s and Credit Saison's collaboration aims to tackle these challenges effectively.

Past Efforts of Both Companies

Starting in January 2024, Renxa intends to roll out its 'Lifestyle Advisor Global' service, enabling foreign tenants to handle utility-related tasks in their native languages, aiding around 60,000 foreign residents from 102 different countries. Credit Saison, with a customer base of about 31 million cardholders, offers various financial services and solutions tailored to support foreign employees through their 'SAISON JP Life Assist for Biz' program.

By combining Renxa’s on-the-ground experience in life assistance with Credit Saison’s extensive connections in the financial services sector, the companies aim to create a comprehensive support system that allows foreign residents to live and work in Japan with greater peace of mind. The services will also cater to the needs of the companies employing foreign talent, ultimately easing their administrative load.

Utilizing Credit Saison’s Partner Network

Credit Saison will leverage its partnership network to promote and provide insights into Renxa's services, particularly the Global Support Desk and Global Support Desk Plus. The collaboration streamlines the onboarding process for foreign residents, facilitating a smoother transition into life in Japan. Global Support Desk addresses a variety of everyday concerns, including administrative guidance, document translation, and health-related inquiries—all in up to 14 languages. Meanwhile, the Global Support Desk Plus service includes additional support like neighbor dispute resolution from former police officers and personal liability insurance coverage of up to 50 million yen.

Future Outlook

Renxa has primarily engaged with the real estate sector to assist foreign residents in launching their new lives in Japan. However, the expanded collaboration with Credit Saison allows for the establishment of a continuous support structure that goes beyond just moving in. The plan is to consistently provide help as life circumstances change, thereby enhancing the overall satisfaction and retention of foreign residents. By collaborating with municipalities, utility service providers, and companies employing foreign talent, both Renxa and Credit Saison strive to create an environment where foreign residents can thrive comfortably in Japan.

About the Companies

Founded in 1951, Credit Saison operates from its headquarters in Sunshine 60, Toshima, and serves millions with an array of financial products. In contrast, Renxa, established in April 2017, focuses on providing comprehensive support for residents’ daily needs, from utility services to insurance offerings—positioning itself as a vital platform transforming lifestyles into a modern and supportive framework.
