New Logistics Facility on the Horizon: LOGIFRONT Nagoya Moriyama



Nippon Steel Kowa Realty Corporation, headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo, has officially started construction on the (tentative) LOGIFRONT Nagoya Moriyama, marking the second project in the LOGIFRONT series for the Chubu region. Scheduled for completion by the end of January 2027, this logistics facility is set to revolutionize the transport landscape in Nagoya.

The LOGIFRONT Nagoya Moriyama is strategically located in Moriyama-ku, Nagoya, approximately 5 km from the Kachigawa interchange on the Nagoya Second Ring Expressway. With a population of over two million, Nagoya provides a bustling urban environment, ensuring convenient access for businesses. Commuting is made easier as it takes only 16 minutes by train from Nagoya Station to Shin Moriyama Station, followed by a 14-minute walk to the facility.

Facility Design and Features



Emphasizing safety and efficiency, the facility's design incorporates separate entry points for large vehicles, standard vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists. The structure will be a four-story box-type building featuring dual-sided loading bays on the first floor, optimized for versatility allowing for use in up to four sections. Moreover, the exterior will utilize metal insulated sandwich panels that boast excellent insulation, seismic resistance, and aesthetic appeal, all in a monochromatic design.

The facility will include four elevators and vertical conveyors dedicated to goods, ensuring ample capacity for transporting items between floors, catering to the demands of modern logistics operations.

Commitment to Environmental Sustainability



As part of its pledge to environmental stewardship, the LOGIFRONT Nagoya Moriyama will integrate NSCarbolex(R) Neutral—a green steel product from Nippon Steel Corporation—utilizing a mass balance approach. This innovative solution will minimize CO2 emissions during the steel production and construction phases. The facility will also employ the NSCarbolex(R) Solution, an architectural solution that incorporates high-functionality materials designed for efficient construction.

In addition, Nippon Steel Kowa Realty has previously embraced sustainability initiatives, including the installation of solar power systems and the use of LED lighting throughout its logistics facilities. Its commitment has led to achievements such as obtaining the CASBEE New Construction (A rank) certification, indicating a strong focus on eco-friendly development.
