The anticipation is building as the LPGA of Taiwan (TLPGA), in partnership with title sponsor Hon Hai Technology Group (also known as Foxconn), proudly announces the return of the 2025 Foxconn TLPGA Players Championship. Scheduled to take place at the esteemed Orient Golf Country Club from February 27 to March 2, this year's event is attracting significant attention with a remarkable roster of 90 female athletes from 11 different countries vying for a grand prize pool of $1.5 million.

This championship is not just another tournament; it represents a significant milestone in women's golf, featuring an impressive collection of talent, including 12 professional golfers ranked in the top 100 worldwide. Iconic figures such as former world No. 1s Jiyai Shin from South Korea and Yani Tseng from Taiwan are set to reunite on the greens for the first time in a decade. Their participation adds an extra layer of excitement and prestige to the competition.

Local favorites include rising star Chia-Yen Wu, who holds the third spot in Taiwan's rankings, and Pei-Yun Chien, the top-ranked Taiwanese golfer globally. Last year's defending champion, Haruka Kawasaki of Japan, will also return, along with 22 other stars from the Japan LPGA (JLPGA), including titleholders Shiho Kuwaki and Yuri Yoshida.

The tournament will welcome players from various prestigious tours, including the JLPGA, KLPGA, and Ladies European Tour (LET), bringing an international flair and competitive spirit to the event. Notable participants include Su-Ji Kim and You-Min Hwang from the KLPGA, Chiara Tamburlini from Switzerland, and Perrine Delacour from France.

Not only will these exceptional athletes be competing for monetary rewards, but they will also vie for 18 qualifying points toward the championship standings, making this one of the most prestigious tournaments in Asia.
