GLOBIS Launches Its First Middle East Hub in Muscat, Oman

GLOBIS Expands with a New Middle East Hub in Muscat

In June 2026, GLOBIS Corporation is set to unveil its very first Middle East office, dubbed 'GLOBIS Middle East,' located in the historic city of Muscat, Oman. This expansion marks GLOBIS's ninth global location and the first foray into the Middle Eastern region, following previous setups in countries like China, Singapore, and the United States. The initiative aims to foster leadership development, offer quality management education, and promote innovation in Oman and the surrounding Middle Eastern nations.

GLOBIS, headquartered in Tokyo's Chiyoda ward and led by CEO Yoshito Hori, is dedicated to nurturing global leadership through its business school and corporate training programs. 'GLOBIS Middle East' is set to enhance GLOBIS's collaboration with local businesses, government agencies, educational institutions, and entrepreneurs.

One of the key offerings at the new hub will be the Pre-MBA program, designed to prepare future students of GLOBIS's management school. This program allows prospective students to complete foundational courses before enrollment, creating a pathway to their advanced education and facilitating immediate application of learned skills in real-world settings.

Historically, GLOBIS has built a significant relationship with the Royal Academy of Management (RAM) in Oman. As part of this collaboration, a strategic partnership is expected to be formalized in June 2024, aimed at nurturing future leaders through RAM’s 'Future Leaders Program.' GLOBIS will contribute training programs, enabling young leaders from Oman to explore leadership skills and cross-cultural exchange through experiences in Japan.

In fact, Yoshito Hori was appointed as an international advisor to RAM in June 2025, leveraging his expertise in managerial talent development and international collaboration to enhance executive education programs in Oman. This partnership not only aims to improve local leadership capabilities but also underlines the mutual cooperative relationship between Oman and Japan.

Oman’s national strategy, known as 'Oman Vision 2040,' emphasizes economic diversification, strengthening human capital, and promoting innovation, particularly in leadership across both public and private sectors. Through its new facility, GLOBIS aims to contribute to these goals by enhancing human capital and fostering entrepreneurial spirit within the region, thus supporting Oman’s long-term growth objectives. Moreover, the establishment of 'GLOBIS Middle East' is poised to deepen collaborations between Omani and Japanese entities in various sectors, fostering opportunities for learning and collaboration across borders.

This strategic expansion aligns with GLOBIS's overarching goal of becoming the world’s number one MBA program in an era characterized by technological innovation. The facility is expected to launch its Pre-MBA classes online by October 2026, equipping participants with essential business skills needed for success in competitive global markets. Importantly, credits earned through these Pre-MBA classes will count toward graduation requirements for those who eventually enroll in GLOBIS’s management program.

Since the inception of its English MBA program in 2009, GLOBIS has produced over 1,000 graduates from more than 90 countries, further solidifying its commitment to global business education. The new hub will serve as a cornerstone for developing management talent in the Middle East through individual MBA programs and corporate training initiatives.

GLOBIS plans to host an inaugural event to commemorate the opening of 'GLOBIS Middle East' on October 28, 2026, reaffirming its commitment to fostering leadership, innovation, and collaboration across borders. As GLOBIS continues to enrich the learning pathways for business professionals, it aims to cultivate a new generation of creative and transformative leaders worldwide.
