BEAMS CULTUART to Open Its First Standalone Store at NEWoMan Takanawa in September 2025

BEAMS CULTUART's First Standalone Store Opening

On September 12, 2025, BEAMS CULTUART will inaugurate its first standalone store, BEAMS CULTUART Takanawa, on the North 4th floor of NEWoMan Takanawa, a large commercial facility in the Takanawa Gateway City, Tokyo. The project by Beams Co., Ltd. aims to captivate visitors with the allure of contemporary art and diverse cultures.

Innovative Concepts for an Engaging Experience

At the entrance, patrons will be greeted by a specially curated corner from MILK TEA SERVICE, offering an exquisite original ice milk tea. This delightful blend harmonizes the rich flavors of carefully selected tea leaves and velvety milk, prepared with attention to detail. Guests can savor their drinks at the counter or opt for takeout, ensuring a luxurious experience on the go.

A noteworthy feature of BEAMS CULTUART Takanawa is the vintage vinyl record section, which will house around 500 carefully curated records from a variety of genres for customers to browse. Not only can they listen to the records before purchasing, but an array of audio equipment like players and speakers will also be available for enthusiasts. To further enhance the experience, the ART Digging corner, presented by Rotten Donuts, allows visitors to treat art discovery like a playful dig—exploring and purchasing unique artworks in a casual setting.

In conjunction with the art experience, the shop will host a completely reservation-based bookstore named Hi Bridge Books, which will feature an array of culture magazines and art books, inviting visitors to sit on benches and enjoy reading in a relaxed atmosphere. This blend of various culture elements is a testament to the innovative approach that BEAMS is well-known for.

Dynamic Cultural Exchange

The gallery space within the store will regularly host planned exhibitions. The inaugural exhibition will celebrate the opening by showcasing graphic designs from the renowned art director Keijiro Yagi, who has crafted a unique visual identity for BEAMS CULTUART Takanawa. This initial exhibition will feature several artists and creators who developed pieces around the theme of “HARMONY,” emphasizing the dynamic exchange between different cultural elements.

The opening collection consists of seven distinct works complemented by Yagi's original design. Each piece reflects the artists' interpretations and creativity, promising a feast for the eyes and minds of art lovers.

A Legacy of Cultural Engagement

Founded in 1976, BEAMS has consistently championed the interplay between lifestyle and culture. With a rich history of supporting artists and creative talents through various initiatives, from furniture sales to music labels and art galleries, the brand has nurtured long-lasting relationships built on shared values. BEAMS CULTUART Takanawa exemplifies the company’s ethos of offering a space where curiosity and creativity can flourish.

As a flagship of the BEAMS family, this new store not only spotlights art but will also feature elements of contemporary lifestyle through curated objects and lifestyle goods. Visitors can expect a unique blend of culture, creativity, and an enriching shopping experience.
