ATP Flight School and Alumni Achieve Significant Fundraising Success for Angel Flight West

ATP Flight School's Charity Golf Tournament

On July 24, 2025, ATP Flight School hosted its second Alumni Charity Golf Tournament to benefit Angel Flight West at the scenic Monarch Beach Golf Links in Dana Point, California. This event gathered over 120 participants, comprised of alumni and industry partners, coming together for a noble cause: providing free air travel for patients in dire need of medical care who lack the financial means for such transportation.

The golf tournament’s outstanding success saw over $85,000 raised, showing the deep commitment of the aviation community toward supporting crucial causes. Michael Arnold, Vice President of Marketing at ATP Flight School, expressed his gratitude towards those who participated and donated. The generous contributions were pivotal in underscoring ATP's commitment to give back to the aviation industry.

Angel Flight West is a non-profit organization renowned for its dedicated service in providing transportation for patients to access necessary healthcare. Through this charity event, ATP Flight School highlighted not only the significance of aviation in everyday life but also the humanity of its practitioners, who continually strive to assist those in need.

Several sponsors played a crucial role in securing the event's success. Organizations such as Cessna, Southern Cross Aviation, Aero Performance/Aircraft Spruce, and Marsh USAIG were mentioned as key contributors. Their support, along with that of many others, helped enhance the event’s fundraising capabilities.

The investment in community and support doesn't stop at fundraising. ATP Flight School has a broader initiative directed at empowering its alumni through the ATP Alumni Association. This association is not only rooted in advocacy but also actively provides numerous opportunities for continuing education. As part of their efforts, they have allocated over $750,000 in Flight Instructor Renewal Courses at no cost, showcasing their dedication to fostering professional growth among graduates.

Every quarter, alumni can apply for scholarships worth over $15,000 to attain advanced training, including the coveted A320 type rating. Additionally, opportunities for interview preparation with major airlines alongside mentorship courses through Spitfire Elite—valued at approximately $1,200 each—are offered at no charge. More than 50 conference passes for events like Women in Aviation and other organizations have been sponsored, further demonstrating ATP’s commitment to professional development.

In summary, ATP Flight School and its dedicated alumni have not only raised significant funds for a critical cause but have also constructed a robust structure for career advancement and community support within the industry.
