TCL Solar: Pioneering the Future of Solar Technology at SNEC 2025
TCL Solar Showcases Advanced Solar Technologies at SNEC 2025
From June 11th to 13th, the bustling city of Shanghai played host to the 18th International Solar Photovoltaic and Smart Energy Conference & Exhibition, known as SNEC PV+ 2025. Among the prominent exhibitors, TCL Solar took center stage with its latest innovations in solar technology, particularly highlighting its next-generation back-contact (BC) modules.
Setting New Standards in Solar Efficiency
At the conference, TCL Solar showcased the exceptional performance of its BC modules. Achieving a staggering maximum power output of 680W and a record efficiency of 25.2%, these modules are a testament to the company’s dedication to pushing the boundaries of solar technology. Additionally, the TOPCon modules exhibited at the show reached impressive outputs of up to 750W and efficiency ratings of 24.14%.
The advancements presented by TCL Solar at SNEC come on the heels of technological innovations in low-cost metallization for BC cells and optimized polysilicon passivation layers. These improvements are expected to significantly lower the production costs of BC products, edging closer to the existing TOPCon technology. The BC modules' bifaciality also promises statistics that exceed 80%, with module efficiencies soaring past 25%.
TCL Solar’s commitment to harnessing technological expertise and leveraging its extensive patent portfolio positions it as a key player in the solar industry. By fostering close collaborations with upstream and downstream partners, the company aims to create a robust ecosystem that will drive down the levelized cost of electricity (LCOE) for solar power, making it more accessible to a wider audience.
The Launch of Innovative Products
In response to market demands and insights gleaned from customer interactions, TCL Solar also unveiled its new line of anti-dust shingled modules at the event. Designed in partnership with Lens Technology, the lightweight module series exemplifies high performance and reliability aimed at meeting specific customer needs. On June 12th, a TCL Solar representative provided an in-depth analysis of the company’s product range during the Application Value Analysis of Distributed Solar Products in China session, detailing the performance characteristics and unique value propositions of their offerings.
Since the latter half of 2024, TCL Solar has embarked on a mission to enhance its technology, manufacturing processes, and product range, as well as refining its branding and market outreach strategies. Their diverse portfolio now includes various technologies—BC, TOPCon, half-cut, and shingled solutions—ensuring that customers receive highly efficient and reliable options suitable for all application scenarios.
Breaking Ground with Certifications
During SNEC 2025, TCL Solar achieved noteworthy milestones, including becoming the first company in China to secure dual low-temperature certification—ensuring minimal power degradation even in extreme conditions (-40°C). The TÜV Rheinland global certification for their N-type BC modules further solidifies TCL's standing as a leader in solar technology designed for extreme environments. The BC modules feature a temperature coefficient of -0.26% per °C, offer 10% higher shading tolerance, and maintain a mere 0.35% annual degradation, raising the bar for reliability standards in the industry.
Alongside UK MCS, Japan JAPC, Colombia RETIE, and Dubai DEWA certifications, TCL Solar is aggressively pursuing global expansion through a strategy combining certification with localization, empowering energy transitions in both polar and emerging markets.
Committed to Sustainable Development
As a forward-thinking, technology-driven enterprise, TCL Solar remains at the forefront of solar industry innovation. In alignment with China's lofty
