From October 15 to 26, 2023, Seibu Shibuya will host a captivating exhibition featuring the works of renowned sculptor Akio Ohmori in the art gallery located on the 8th floor of B Building. This exhibition, titled 'The Dreams of That Day Blossom at Night – An Ode to Thorns,' marks a milestone for the artist as he approaches his 30th anniversary in the art world by reflecting on his artistic journey, themes, and motifs that have defined his career.
Ohmori will present a new series entitled 'The Dreams of That Day Blossom,' which draws inspiration from his past creations. Among the featured works are pieces that pay homage to his graduation project, 'The Boat of Crows Ascends,' and collaboration works with the apparel brand UNDERCOVER. The exhibition will also include works themed around Japan, along with his distinguished pieces like 'The Elephant with Unattainable Thorns' and 'The Wolf with Unattainable Thorns.'
