This initiative, introduced at the Ontario Medical Center in Southern California, is designed to not only reduce the hospital's carbon footprint but also enhance its emergency power capabilities and overall energy efficiency.

The newly inaugurated microgrid system boasts impressive capabilities with 2MW of solar energy generation and 9MWh of battery storage. With expectations that the solar system will offset around 650 metric tons of carbon dioxide annually, this microgrid would generate approximately 3,300 MWh of zero-emission electricity, enough to power 275 homes for an entire year.
