Recently, the Connecticut Veterans Legal Center (CVLC) announced a new milestone in its mission to support local veterans with critical legal issues. The organization has received a donation of $50,000 from Philip Morris International’s U.S. businesses (PMI U.S.), aimed at strengthening the legal services provided to Connecticut veterans. This contribution is particularly significant as it follows the successful 15th annual "Ride for Our Vets" event, which raised nearly $150,000 as participants rode impressive distances to raise awareness and funds for veteran assistance.

Legal dilemmas often pose severe challenges for veterans returning from service, impacting their healthcare, housing stability, and overall quality of life. The CVLC has made it a priority to address these issues through free legal representation and advocacy. Thousands of veterans have benefited from the CVLC’s efforts, securing long-overdue benefits, discharge upgrades, and vital access to essential services. Additionally, CVLC’s Saluting Service Gala on November 5, 2026, will feature a keynote address by retired U.S. Army General and former CIA Director David H. Petraeus, making it a noteworthy event that underscores the importance of service and sacrifice.
