The Spectacular STAR ISLAND 2025: Fireworks and Drones Unite!
Star Island 2025 made a triumphant return to Odaiba on May 24 and 25, 2025, mesmerizing attendees with an unparalleled show that combined the magic of fireworks with the awe-inspiring capabilities of drones. Organized by REDCLIFF, a Tokyo-based company, this event brought together a staggering 3,600 drones to create an exquisite visual narrative that transported audiences to another world.
A New Era in Drone Entertainment
This year's drone show showcased the latest in drone technology with the introduction of the
RiFF-JP drones, which are approximately 1.5 times brighter and possess double the flight time and speed than their predecessors. This innovative technology enhanced the aerial performance, creating mesmerizing visuals that exceeded all expectations.
The show was intelligently structured into three segments, each progressively scaling up in intensity with 300, 500, and finally 1,000 drones taking to the skies. During the 500-drone segment, audiences were treated to stunning visuals as the RiFF-JP drones created intricate designs, including storks and spiral patterns, representing the vitality of life. Paired with uplifting music inspired by nature, the drones formed captivating shapes depicting various animals such as butterflies, elephants, peacocks, and lions, celebrating the diversity of life around us.

As the evening reached its climax, an astounding formation of 1,000 drones illuminated the night sky, coming together to form a colossal phoenix measuring 143 meters wide by 96 meters tall.
