Unity of Effort Celebration Returns to Sequim
The much-anticipated
Unity of Effort Celebration is set to make its return to Sequim on
August 9, 2025. This family-friendly event is not just a celebration but an annual tribute to honor the dedicated service of military personnel and first responders. This year's festivities promise to be an exciting mixture of live music, engaging activities, and countless opportunities to express gratitude to those who protect and serve our communities.
Event Details
The event will kick off at
10:00 AM and continue until
10:00 PM, transforming the grounds in front of
Security Services Northwest at
250 Center Park Way into a happening hub of entertainment and camaraderie. Attendees can look forward to an extensive lineup that includes an impressive performance by the renowned rock band
FireHouse. Known for their hit songs such as “Love of a Lifetime” and “Don't Treat Me Bad,” FireHouse is set to light up the stage at
8:00 PM.
One of the hallmarks of this celebration is its free entry, making it accessible to everyone in the community. Families are encouraged to come and experience a plethora of activities, some of which include helicopter displays, interactive booths, and children’s activities like bounce houses and face painting. The festival will also feature various exhibits of first responder and military vehicles, providing a unique, engaging experience for attendees.
A Day Full of Activities
The day is packed with activities that cater to attendees of all ages:
- - 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM: Community and vendor booths will be open for guests to explore various local offerings.
- - 10:15 AM - 12:00 PM: Helicopters will be arriving every 15 minutes, adding thrilling sights to the event.
- - 11:15 AM: A Police K-9 demonstration will showcase the skills of trained police dogs.
- - 12:10 PM: The America's First Corps Band will bring a lively performance, followed by other local bands throughout the day.
Community Recognition
The Unity of Effort event is primarily organized by
Security Services Northwest and has been a tradition for over 25 years. Located in Sequim, this initiative was founded by
Joe D'Amico, president and CEO. He emphasizes the significance of this celebration, highlighting the importance of nurturing community spirit and recognizing those who contribute tirelessly to keeping us safe. D’Amico mentions, “
Unity of Effort is our way of showing our gratitude and respect for all those who tirelessly protect and serve our communities and nation.”
In addition to the exhilarating musical lineup, attendees will also witness the
Miss Fort Discovery recognition and a
Kids Toy Find, promoting family engagement throughout the event.
Attendance and Recommendations
As the festival attracts various attendees, it’s worth noting that pets will not be allowed due to the presence of police K-9s. For those interested in a more exclusive experience, a limited number of
VIP Show Passes will be available for purchase at $100. These passes grant access to premier seating near the stage for FireHouse’s performance and include two complimentary drinks.
