Reblan's Special Invitation to Children
Reblan Co., based in Itabashi, Tokyo, has announced their collaboration with the SPARKING CHOIR for an extraordinary community event: a concert titled
Million Stars! Million Dreams! This event is scheduled for October 19, 2025, at the Tagajo City Cultural Center in Miyagi Prefecture. Reblan will specifically invite 200 children to attend for free, reflecting their commitment to nurturing future musicians and contributing positively to Japan's music scene.
The concert aims to create a powerful confluence of "children, space, and music," transcending traditional boundaries to encourage local youth in Miyagi to spark their own creativity and dreams. The event promises to be richly multifaceted, including:
- - A performance by the SPARKING CHOIR, which is directed by Masanori Takahashi.
- - Hands-on experiences featuring exhibits such as the lunar exploration robot Moon Bot, a driving simulation with lunar rover YAOKI, and a display of the lunar lander legs from JAXA's SLIM.
- - Presentations on space missions by innovative startups, including ispace, ALE, and Elevation Space.
- - A special dialogue featuring Professor Kazuya Yoshida from Tohoku University's Graduate School of Aerospace Engineering and Ayako Sasaki of the certified NPO STORIA.
Message from the President of Reblan
Yusuke Watanabe, president of Reblan, shared his insights on why he decided to support this concert. Inspired by Masanori Takahashi’s passion, he cited a shared vision of empowering children through music. Watanabe expressed that he resonates deeply with Takahashi's belief that the power of music can provide crucial encouragement to the livelihoods of children. He emphasized their long-standing relationship with Tagajo City, having previously donated a grand piano, and expressed joy in engaging in this initiative. Watanabe is enthusiastic about the music that will emanate from Tagajo City into the cosmos.
About the SPARKING CHOIR
SPARKING CHOIR consists of several choirs from Shirogane, Sendai, Ishinomaki, and Tokyo, assembled under the leadership of baritone Masanori Takahashi for joint concerts. The
Minna no Gasshodan, which operates out of Tokyo and includes Reblan staff and residents of their music-friendly apartments, frequently holds live performances.
H, a Reblan employee participating in the concert for the first time, shared her motivation: "I may not have direct ties to Miyagi, but I felt a connection. Having visited the region post-disaster to offer support, I see this event as another opportunity to contribute. The challenge lies in expressing this sentiment in various artistic forms beyond just singing. Through the music, I hope to showcase the power it brings both to us on stage and to the audience present."
Message from Masanori Takahashi
Masanori Takahashi expressed gratitude to Reblan for their support in inviting children to the concert. He highlighted the importance of this initiative for numerous children, particularly those fascinated by music. As an advocate for a society where children can envision their dreams, Takahashi believes this concert embodies his mission. He aims to communicate through music the ideals of "space, children’s future, and the unifying power of music"—which he perceives as the core values of hope and empathy.
