The Home Depot Expands Delivery Service for Military Families Overseas

In a heartfelt initiative to support military families, The Home Depot has announced an expansion of its delivery services to include Army Post Office (APO), Fleet Post Office (FPO), and Diplomatic Post Office (DPO) addresses. This new program not only enhances access but also allows households of military affiliates to receive over 20,000 tax-free home improvement products directly at bases around the globe.

The recently broadened service is a collaboration with Military Exchanges, encompassing the Army and Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) and the Navy Exchange Service Command (NEXCOM). These partnerships allow qualified individuals, including active duty members, reservists, veterans, and certain civilians, to shop online and have items shipped directly to military installations overseas. This is a game-changer for families at more than 750 military bases across 80 countries who have historically faced challenges in accessing essential home goods.

Jordan Broggi, Executive Vice President of Customer Experience at The Home Depot, expressed the company's long-standing commitment to the military community. He stated, “The Home Depot has proudly supported service members, veterans, and their families for decades. Expanding deliveries to APO, FPO, and DPO addresses ensures that military communities serving worldwide have convenient access to the home improvement products they need, no matter where they are stationed.”

Eligible customers can access the delivery service by using AAFES and NEXCOM’s online shopping platforms. Notably, U.S.-based individuals who qualify may also purchase items and send them to friends or family living overseas. This initiative extends the reach of The Home Depot's offerings, providing capabilities that were previously limited and ensuring that military families can take full advantage of the home improvement store's vast inventory.

The expanded selection not only includes thousands of products related to home improvement, such as tools, paint, garden supplies, and more, but delivery is powered by the United States Postal Service (USPS) to adhere to military mail and security requirements. This commitment to accessibility reflects The Home Depot's recognition of the sacrifices made by military families and its desire to alleviate any barriers they might face when seeking to enhance their living conditions.

The new delivery capabilities officially launched on July 8, 2026, marking a significant milestone in supporting military families and ensuring they have everything they need to feel at home, no matter their location. With over 470,000 employees and more than 2,300 retail stores across North America, The Home Depot is leading the charge in making home improvements accessible for everyone, especially those serving in the armed forces.

As military families continue to navigate the challenges of relocations and deployments, The Home Depot's initiative opens new doors for convenience and support, helpfully connecting them to essential home products and services. This expanded delivery system stands as a testament to the power of partnerships in positively impacting the lives of those who serve our country.
