PHASE FREE AWARD 2025 Overview



This year marks the fifth celebration of the PHASE FREE AWARD, which recognizes outstanding achievements in various sectors. More than 235 submissions were received, showcasing the incredible innovation happening across industries. With over 2,000 audience votes contributing to the selection, this year’s awards promise to highlight significant advancements, particularly in digital transformation.

Awards Breakdown



Business Category Awards


  • - Gold Award: The Gold award for the business sector was presented to Nittan Co., Ltd. for their groundbreaking indoor positioning system 'B Catch Now'. This marks the first time a Digital Transformation (DX) service has won a Gold award, emphasizing the importance of integrating technology in traditional systems.
  • - Silver Award: UACJ Corporation received the Silver award for their innovative personal booth solution, origami+work, a testament to the evolving needs of workspace design.
  • - Bronze Award: Elecom Co., Ltd. took home the Bronze award for their sodium-ion mobile battery, demonstrating commitment to sustainable energy solutions.
  • - Audience Award: The Audience Award went to Denso Corporation for their information distribution service, Life Vision, showcasing how technology can improve customer experience. Other audience-driven accolades were given to Daito Trust Construction for their boku-labo rental feel, and Shimizu Corporation and Azuma Construction for their collaboration on the Kamis Defense Arena project.

Idea Category Awards


  • - Gold Award: The Gold award in the idea category was presented to Kayuki Murakami for her innovative Mother's Bag M+, which aims to blend functionality with style.
  • - Silver Award: The Silver award was given to Ayaka Nonaka from Kyushu University for her ingenious design of a disaster prevention hub that combines with clothing.
  • - Bronze Award: The team of Soichiro Tanaka, Maho Abe, and Fumina Shimano from Tokyo Metropolitan University impressed judges with their Furnishion-Air concept that merges fashion with furniture design.
  • - Audience Award: The Audience Award in the idea category went to Fujitsu General Ltd. for their smart tissue designed for health checks.

Special Contributions


The PHASE FREE Special Achievement Award was presented to Ace Corporation, acknowledging their meaningful contributions to the community and industry.

Upcoming Ceremony & Symposium


On September 27th, a ceremony will take place at the University of Tokyo's Institute of Industrial Science, featuring Shinichi Takeda as the facilitator. This gathering will also host a symposium comprised of various experts discussing pivotal topics in digital innovation and transformation.
