MiTAC Computing Showcases Future-Ready AI Cluster Solutions
MiTAC Computing Technology, a prominent player in high-performance and energy-efficient server solutions, proudly presents its groundbreaking participation in the OCP Global Summit 2025, held in San Jose, California from October 13 to 16. With the theme, "From AI server to cluster – Open for Growth. Designed for Cooling," MiTAC highlights modular and scalable infrastructures, ranging from individual AI servers to complete clusters empowered by advanced liquid cooling and sustainable designs.
In collaboration with leading tech giants such as AMD, Broadcom, CoolIT, Intel, Micron, Murata, NVIDIA, and Solidigm, MiTAC is committed to driving innovations in open computing and the advancement of energy-efficient data centers.
Complete Data Center Solutions
At the summit, MiTAC Computing will showcase both OCP ORv3 and EIA-standard racks that cover next-generation open and enterprise data center architectures. The OCP ORv3 liquid-cooled rack supports up to 14 C2811Z5 multi-node servers featuring AMD EPYC™ 9005 processors. Integrated with a Murata 33kW power shelf and CoolIT's 200kW in-rack CDU, this design ensures efficient power and heat management for high-density applications.
The open modular design, coupled with MiTAC's Lake Erie storage modules, allows seamless integration of compute, storage, and networking functions, providing a hassle-free upgrade path from server to cluster.
Air-Cooled EIA Rack
Another demonstration showcases the air-cooled EIA rack configured with MiTAC G8825Z5 AI servers utilizing AMD Instinct™ MI350X/MI325X GPUs. This 45U rack integrates a Dell Z9864F-ON switch featuring Broadcom's Tomahawk 5 chipset for rapid 800G connections, alongside a MiTAC GC68C-B8056 management server and a MiTAC TS70A-B8056 storage server. Collectively, this setup allows for a swift, compatible AI and HPC cluster deployment within existing infrastructure, facilitating efficient scaling from single servers to complete clusters.
Live Demonstrations of Open Firmware
At booth C14, MiTAC will conduct a live demonstration of OpenBMC and Open Platform Firmware (OPF), developed in partnership with the Open Source Firmware Foundation and various software vendors. This demo will showcase Redfish-based unified server management with Coreboot, LinuxBoot, and UEFI options, significantly reducing POST times by up to 50%. Additionally, the demonstration will include Broadcom MegaRAID 9560-16i/9660-16i RAID cards to enhance data reliability and security. MiTAC will also feature an OPF proof-of-concept on AMD EPYC™ 9005/9004 processor platforms, validating true hardware scalability and transparency for future data center development.
Comprehensive Server Portfolio
In addition to cluster-level solutions and open firmware innovations, MiTAC will present a complete server portfolio addressing AI, HPC, cloud, and enterprise applications. This diversification emphasizes their capability to scale from single servers to full clusters and deliver end-to-end solutions.
